Regal Medical Transportation

Transportation to outpatient rehabilitation visits

Regal can help coordinate the ride to outpatient rehabilitation when the passenger remains able to use a standard passenger vehicle. The service is point-to-point transportation and does not include facility transfer, lifting, or clinical support.

Plan the trip

Details that make this ride different

Good transportation planning starts with the schedule, correct entrance, realistic return timing, and a clear understanding of what the passenger can do independently.

01

Distinguish outpatient rides from assisted transfers

This service is intended for a passenger traveling to an outpatient visit, not a person who must be transferred between beds, wheelchairs, rooms, or care levels. Staff at a residence or facility must bring the passenger to the confirmed curbside point. Regal chauffeurs do not enter patient areas, lift passengers, or complete facility handoff procedures.

02

Confirm the building can be reached independently

Share practical access information such as stairs, a distant lobby, security check-in, or a covered entrance. The passenger must be able to travel between that pickup point and the vehicle with little or no assistance. If a safe trip requires a ramp vehicle, wheelchair securement, gait support, or hands-on help, Regal’s ambulatory service is not suitable.

03

Update the plan as rehabilitation progresses

Rehabilitation can change strength and mobility in either direction. Contact Regal before a ride when the passenger’s ability, equipment, residence, or appointment location changes. The team can reassess the transportation fit, but it cannot rely on a prior successful trip if the current needs fall outside standard passenger service.

04

Coordinate with a responsible contact

For a pickup at a rehabilitation or residential setting, identify the passenger or coordinator who can confirm readiness and the correct entrance. That person remains responsible for facility communication and care arrangements. Regal will confirm only the transportation details, schedule, availability, and quote.

What to share with Regal

Keep the request focused on transportation. These details help the team review the route without collecting sensitive health information.

  • Outpatient rehabilitation facility and entrance
  • Appointment and requested arrival time
  • Curbside readiness contact
  • Stairs or long path to the vehicle
  • Known recurring dates
  • Changes in ambulatory ability or personal aids

Return-trip considerations

Facility pickup is still curb-to-curb service

A facility address does not change Regal’s service into an assisted medical transfer. The passenger must be ready at the agreed exterior pickup point, and receiving staff or a companion must handle any help inside the origin or destination. If the facility requires door-through-door service, wheelchair securement, or a clinical handoff, arrange a provider equipped for that need.

A request is not a reservation. The ride is booked only after Regal confirms the date, schedule, route, passenger fit, and quote.

Will the chauffeur sign the passenger out of a facility?

No. Any facility paperwork, clinical handoff, or responsible-party requirement must be handled by the passenger, family, caregiver, or facility.
