Regal Medical Transportation

Transportation to MRI, CT, and imaging appointments

Imaging visits can be located in a hospital tower, diagnostic center, or separate outpatient building. Regal helps ambulatory passengers plan private transportation to the correct check-in point and request an appropriate return arrangement.

Plan the trip

Details that make this ride different

Good transportation planning starts with the schedule, correct entrance, realistic return timing, and a clear understanding of what the passenger can do independently.

01

Find the exact imaging department before pickup

A street address may serve several diagnostic departments. Include the imaging center name, hospital building, floor or suite, and patient entrance from the appointment instructions. Regal transports the passenger to the confirmed curbside location; facility wayfinding, registration, preparation, and clinical questions remain between the passenger and imaging provider.

02

Ask whether sedation changes the discharge rules

Some imaging procedures involve sedation or medication that triggers a responsible-adult requirement. Confirm those rules directly with the facility before booking. A Regal chauffeur is not a medical escort or caregiver and may not satisfy the facility’s release policy. Arrange any required companion and include that traveler in the transportation request.

03

Allow for preparation and scan delays

The appointment may include early check-in, contrast preparation, laboratory work, or observation after the scan. Share the facility’s estimated timeline, then ask Regal which return option is available. The ride does not include open-ended waiting, and the chauffeur cannot enter the imaging area to monitor progress.

04

Keep medical information out of the ride request

Regal needs the destination, schedule, passenger count, and general mobility instructions—not the reason for the scan, test results, orders, insurance information, or medical history. This separation protects the purpose of the form and keeps the request focused on safe, practical transportation planning.

What to share with Regal

Keep the request focused on transportation. These details help the team review the route without collecting sensitive health information.

  • Imaging center and exact department
  • Required arrival and check-in time
  • Estimated appointment duration
  • Whether the facility requires a companion
  • Preferred return-pickup arrangement
  • General curbside and mobility details only

Return-trip considerations

Imaging with sedation needs extra planning

Do not assume a transportation company can replace the adult required by the imaging center. Verify release rules before the trip and arrange the companion the provider requires. Regal can transport the confirmed travelers if the passenger is cleared for a standard vehicle and remains ambulatory, but the chauffeur cannot receive instructions, supervise recovery, or provide post-sedation care.

A request is not a reservation. The ride is booked only after Regal confirms the date, schedule, route, passenger fit, and quote.

Questions about this service

Before you request a ride

Can Regal take me to an MRI or CT appointment at a hospital?

Yes, when the trip fits the ambulatory scope. Include the hospital campus, imaging department, building, and entrance rather than only the general address.

Can the chauffeur be my responsible adult after sedation?

No. The passenger must satisfy the imaging facility’s escort and release policy with a separate responsible adult when required.

Should I put the reason for my scan in the form?

No. Provide only transportation details. Do not submit diagnoses, orders, test results, medications, insurance numbers, or medical records.
